Adhesive Lined Heat Shrink Tubing
Adhesive lined heat shrink tubings are sometimes referred to as ‘Dual Wall’ tubings because they have an additional layer of glue that coats the inside of the sleeve. When you apply the heat to shrink the tubing, the glue melts and flows at the same time and as the tubing squeezes down, the glue is forced into the gaps to encapsulate the substrate – the end result is a protective insulation sleeve that is locked in place and provides a seal.
When you apply the heat in order to shrink the tubing down, the glue melts and flows at the same time and as the tubing shrinks it simultaneously squeezes and forces the glue into the gaps, filling any spaces and cavities and encapsulating the substrate – the end result is a protective insulation sleeve that is locked in place and that also provides a seal.
Adhesive lined products are particularly useful for environmental protection, in areas where water and dust are common. They are also used in applications where you want to make sure the tubing does not move and can be glued in place.
