Raychem were responsible for the creation of new types of improved plastics and elastomeric materials which possess unique properties through modification of the raw material by the application of radiation technology. These raw materials are engendered with characterists which go far and beyond the normal physical limits of untreated plastics. These changes are achieved by subjecting the base plastics and elastomers to high energy electron beam radiation.
